Enhanced Lighting & Visual Features

TheCUT is one of Newcastle’s most established underground nightlife venues, known for its raw industrial aesthetic, immersive atmosphere and long standing reputation within the city’s electronic music scene.
Inspired by warehouse style club culture and underground music spaces, the venue has become recognised for its stripped back industrial feel, high energy events and immersive lighting environments that completely transform the atmosphere throughout the night.
Lumacore was trusted to help shape the visual identity of the venue through a series of bespoke immersive LED feature installations designed specifically around the architecture and atmosphere of the space.
One of the standout features of the project was the bespoke “Sun Burst” LED installation positioned as the main feature wall as guests entered the room.
Created using programmable pixel LED lighting integrated into a custom architectural structure, the installation was designed to immediately create visual impact and become a defining focal point within the venue environment. Through intelligent pixel control, the feature is capable of dynamic movement, colour transitions and immersive lighting scenes that completely transform the feel and energy of the space throughout the night.
Throughout the venue, bespoke goalpost style pixel LED structures were also installed using integrated RGB pixel lighting systems to create immersive walkthrough environments and architectural lighting features that guide guests through the club space.
The lighting installations were designed to complement the industrial warehouse aesthetic of the venue while adding movement, atmosphere and immersive visual impact across different areas of the club.
Combined with stage lighting integration, moving lighting effects and intelligent control systems, the venue atmosphere can adapt dynamically throughout live events, DJ sets and performances, creating a fully immersive nightlife environment built around experience and energy.
This project demonstrates Lumacore’s ability to push beyond traditional lighting installations and create environments that become part of the identity of the venue itself.
